The Company I work for was 5 years old (on 6 February 2010) and to celebrate, 25 sections of the company had to make a 1 minute film which was shown in New Brighton in a Oscar style afternoon of films, awards, music, speeches and a quiz.
The dress code for the day was "Hollywood Glamour" so I went out and bought myself a new suit (I take these things very seriously you know!). When I think black suit and bow tie, I think of James Bond. It suddenly gave me the idea to recreate one of the movie posters. This one of course is "From Russia With Love", a kind of Parody if that's the right word. I didn't have a gun so I used the Remote Control!!!
Please note: the actress in the bottom left corner is of course Elizabeth Hurley, who's family comes from the same city as my great great Gandfather (Cork in Ireland), so we could be distant relatives!

This image represents the other significant Ferris Wheel from my ever-expanding lights series from the Puyallup Fair. This image was captured in September 2009 with my Nikon D90 amidst two other photographers all with their unique contributions to this night scene. I spotted this vantage point and thought this would be best for my long exposure and as I was setting up the tripod I noticed that there was another photographer around the corner firing his flash and capturing this, and after I was set, another photographer came after me on the other side and was doing some kind of movement photography, so you had flash, non-flash and movement photography all hovering this thing. Needless to say when people were walking out of the ride they were a little stunned to see all these cameras at this location. This image is a 7 second exposure and green and purple were the dominant colors of this ride, and the blue was mostly created out of the long exposure, along with the red striping on the edges. This was so much fun to capture, I could have stayed all night here, but my wife gave me the "look," which meant it was time to move on. Enjoy!

This image was captured in August 2009 with my Nikon D90 and it features the more traditional view of Bridal Veil Falls. This waterfall is scenic enough that I believed it was worthy of a Vol.2 as this view shows more of the depth of the upper tier in relation to the lower tier. In the first image I was concentrating on the crash of the water and the reflection it created on Bridal Veil Falls' pool at the base. I captured this standing right next to the observation deck for this beautiful waterfall. I could have spent much more time enjoying this waterfall but on my mission to see as many in the Columbia River Gorge as possible, I was pretty quickly on the move after capturing this. Enjoy!
